Blakiston's fish owl
Japanese name is "Ezo Shima Fukurou" that is the namesake of its characteristics of "striped" and the old name of Hokkaido Island "Ezo".
I was not sure if the size of the owl gave any impact to the beautiful ladies from the main island of Japan or not.
The baby Spotted Seal is very popular in Japan because the creature had been a protagonist in a certain popular comic.
Ringed Seal also can be seen around Hokkaido Island.
Bearded Seal is also rampant in Japan, particularly northern part of Japan including Hokkaido but is not so popular as the other kinds.
You can see the Steller's sea eagle and White-tailed sea eagle when the floating ices from Siberia swamp to the coast of Shiretoko Peninsula.
