It is prohibited to take Marimo green ball !

by  Kazu

It is prohibited to take Marimo green ball made of water weeds. Even if the water weed is not in the shape of ball, you must not take the weed from the lake.
Because the Lake is under the reign of deities called Kamui different from that of the main island of Japan.
Please take enough time to savor the scenery and the culinary delights sourced locally in the eastern part of Hokkaido. The atmosphere is so mysterious that even I have never dive into the lake before.

Jogging around the forest of deities Kamui !

by Kazu

How can I express the circumstances of the woods near Lake Akan. No human beings around me because it was not in high season of tourism and was cold for tourists from the south.
This is the muddy hot spring called "Bokke" that means "boiling up" in the language of the indigenous people of Hokkaido Ainu.
It was talking to me "Bokko, bokko, duppu, duppu" like a  story teller or the oracle of Ainu. The smell of sulfur stimulated my nose slightly.

Jogging around the lake of deities !

by Kazu

I do not think that brown bears do not appear near the lake because no food for them around the lake and many tourists visit there but while strolling around the woods near the lake, deer and other kinds of creatures could be seen on that day.
Warming up your lover in the coldness near the lake, you can recognize the importance of the existence beside yourself, I think.
Aged trees welcome you all even in winter with the healing and comfortable hot spring spa and the mysterious scenery of the lake.

Remembering the trail around Lake Akan !

by Kazu

It may be too cold for Ms. U N in Vietnam but I would like her to visit this place under the bless of deities called Kamui in the language of the indigenous people Ainu in Hokkaido Island of Japan.

Have you ever heard of the mysterious lake Akan in Hokkaido ? Green balls floating up and sinking down in the lake can be seen from the kayak on the lake. The green balls are called Marimo in Japanese and in English, Cladophora ball, Lake ball, Moss BallI think.
Muddy hot spring is near the lake. It is called "Bokke" in the language of the indigenous people in Hokkaido Ainu. A variety of flowers can be seen near the lake in each season as shown on the sign. But it was not the season of the flowers.

Lake Akan Tsuruga Wings !

by Kazu

Hot spring spa and lunch buffet package is one of the big draw of Tsuruga Hotel Group. My wife and I visited Lake Akan Tsuruga Wings again with my aunt.
The design of the hotel may be that of the tropical resort in the southern part of this globe but it has so nice healing hot spring bath in the hotel and the adjacent  annex building of this hotel.
It was still cold on that day with the snow covering the ground around the lake albeit it seemed to be in the southern part of Japan inside the hotel. Some of the buildings are not in service around the lake.

Pan de Pan in Akan, Kushiro !

by Kazu

There is such nice a boulangerie  in Akan Hot Spring Area of Kushiro City. It was named "Pan de Pan". A spruce tree is in front of the boulangerie as if it is safeguarding the comfy space with so nice aroma.
Other than breads that look so yam, a variety of sweets are in the showcase and alluring the tourists and the citizens.
It takes tens of minutes to choose the cake to eat whenever we visit this boulangerie. As so many tourists and citizens visit here and buy the cakes, each cake is so fresh and fabulous.

Time of Egg to the deep in the Eastern Hokkaido !

by Kazu

This is the menu posted on the wall of "Tamago-no-Jikan"
that means "Time of Egg" in Japanese. It seems that my friend who runs this restaurant changed the supplier of the cheese to make the culinary delights sourced locally.
The owner chef shows the route of the materials to make the dishes. Those materials including veggies and cheese can be purchased by placing orders in this restaurant.

Leaving my hometown Kitami City, we headed to one of the most favorite destination in Hokkaido. The way to there was shining with the sunshine. We dropped by the roadside station beside the road to the place.
