The CEO of DOKYU Mr. Nakanishi was moved !

With the attendance of the Governor of the State of Hawaii Mr. David IGE and his wife Mrs. Dawn IGE, the CEO of DOKYU Company looked so moved and satisfied.

The quality of the pork cutlet and other menu seemed to be almost the same or better. For that, tremendous efforts were exerted by the staff members of the company.

The VISA for running and working in this restaurant was one of the challenges to get over. The appearance of the menu looked so nice even for the loco of Hawaii.

The good smell of the pork cutlet cooked in the kitchen drafted to the table for the guests. The guests could not any more but the speech of the MC started.

The representative of the restaurant led off and the words of appreciation was delivered by the CEO Mr. Nakanishi.

Mr. Nakanishi showed his tears. He seemed to be remembering the process and steps he took till the open of the restaurant.

 

Special Guests of Pre-open Event of Tonkatsu Tamafuji in Honolulu !

The Governor of the State of Hawaii Mr. David IGE and his wife Mrs. Dawn IGE appeared and had seats. They seemed to know each other and enjoyed chat before the start of the event.

One of the guests was banker and his wife had been an idle in Japan. I was not sure her career in the show business in Japan but I l knew the group she had belonged to.

Every guests seemed to be looking forward to the delicious and thick pork cutlet of Japanese style. They would be convinced of the big hit of the cutlet in Hawaii.

 

When Tonkatsu Tamafuji in Honolulu opened !

This gentleman is Mr. Nakanishi, the CEO of DOKYU who called the shot in the company. Many flower arrangements were delivered for the event.  

The guests on that day started to arrive in the restaurant to be officially opened two day later. The very best of pork cutlet would be served to all the guests in the event. 

The celebrities in Hawaii appeared to the restaurant. Bankers, whole sellers, hoteliers, and the Governor of Hawaii and his wife got together in the restaurant. 

 

Pre Open Event of Tonkatsu Tamafuji in Honolulu !

It took several years for Mr. Nakanishi, the CEO of DOKYU headquartered in Sapporo, to open the branch restaurant "Tonkatsu no Tamafuji" in Honolulu. 

Including the market and real estate research to open the branch by the company itself, not ordering to the research company, it took long time to be convinced of its success. 

The pre-open event of the Tonkatsu restaurant was held inviting the top brasses of each area in Hawaii. Iwas also invited from Hokkaido.

 

Bloomingdale of Ala Moana Center !

I re-recognizedthat we are missing this Pleasure of Islands, particularly in this cold season. The island breeze with kind humidity is required by my dry skin in winter. I am eager to stroll and shopping around there with my wife.

I think many people are saving money to visit Hawaii just after the regulations on travel are lifted. So-called "revenge consumption" can be expected.

In such case, Hokkaido and Hawaii become the rival competing the tourists.

Most of the people on this globe are craving for the life without the fear of infection and the safe travel for stress relief. Travel is necessary to our lives because the life is journey.

 

Ala Moana Center Stage !

This is the center stage of Ala Moana Center where the indigenous people in Hokkaido Ainu showed their best performance of their traditional music and dance. I was not there at that time but I can easily imagine the enthusiasm shown by the performer and the audience.

More than  eight million tourists visited Ala Moana Center every year before the plandemic of covid-19 on this globe. The State of Hawaii might be the place that experienced toughest time brought by the plandemic. 

Fla dance and other performances were arranged on this stage on that day. I am wondering if I would be able to take my wife to this place again in the not-so-distant future or not. The  newest variant more infectious than omicron variant were found in France.

 

Where the Hokkaido Fair was held !

The kitchen space of Japanese Cultural Center in Hawaii had ample space to dissect and cut the blocks of quality Hokkaido beef and cook.

A variety of events of the immigrants from Japan and their offsprings had been held in this facility. 

It seemed that some kind of events with food would be held and the kitchen was used for that. I took some photos of the facility including this kitchen with utensils to show to the sponcer and the attendee of "Hokkaido Fair" . 

These dishes were for the event on that day of our inspection. Many people helped us to check up the facilities pertinent to the signing ceremony to establish the Sister-state Affiliation between Hokkaido and Hawaii.

 

Where the top-quality beef marble 21 of A5 rank from Hokkaido was cut !

The scenery of Waikiki area could be seen from the top floor of Japanese Cultural Center in Honolulu. The culinary delights sourced in Hokkaido were served there on May 8（Mon.）before the signing ceremony to establish the sister-state affiliation between Hokkaido and Hawaii.

 

Yes, this is the place "Hokkaido Fair" was held on May 8(Mon.), 2017. Many retailers and dealers swamped there and savored amply the tastes of Hokkaido.

This is the kitchen where the top-quality beef  "Marble 21" of A5 rank from Hokkaido was cut for tasting. The super beef was provided by Hokkaido Agricultural Association and was cut by the Director for Hokkaido beef promotion in this kitchen.

 

Around Iolani Palace !

Chinese Banyan tree is called "walking tree" because its roots like stems actually carry the trunk of the tree to a certain direction in which more moisture can be taken from the ground.

The statue of the  Queen Liliuokalani who was confined into Iolani Palace and composed "Aloha 'Oe was near the palace. 

We left the palace and headed to Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii where the Hokkaido Fair would be held in May 9, 2017.
