The first official delegation members from Hokkaido Legislative Assembly arrived at the entrance of "Polynesian Cultural Center in Oahu, Hawaii in 2016. 

They had to learn how the indigenous culture had been adjusted to make up the fabulous show performance to attract millions of people from other parts of this globe. 

For the indigenous people of Hawaii, it may be insulting to amend their original traditional song, dance and attire for money but they had to change something for the future.  

 

The First Visit to Polynesian Cultural Center !

Before the pandemic of covid-19, "Polynesian Cultural Center in Oahu, Hawaii was fully alluring the tourists from other area on this globe and introducing the traditional indigenous culture of Hawaii people.

As you may know, the facility is run by Bringham Young University and the students of the university are the casts of the show " Breath of Life". Some of them perform "Fire Knife" on the stage surrounded by the audience. 

Most of the students in the universities and colleges in the United States have to shoulder the heavy debt when they graduate. The students who perform in the facility can reduce the amount of their debt. The competition among the performers may be harsh but that reduce their incredible debt at the start line of their lifetime businesses. 

 

To Polynesian Cultural Center !

We may have to learn the way to run the facility featuring the culture of the indigenous people. It took about ninety minutes to reach "Polynesian Culture Center" from Waikiki in Oahu, Hawaii.

On our way from Waikiki to Hawaii, we stopped by the beach from where "China Man's Hat Island" could be seen and took photos with the guide of the chartered bus.

The Vice Governor of Hokkaido at that time Mr. Yoshihiro YAMAYA with the mission enjoyed his first visit to Hawaii on that day but he might have been nervous a little bit to convey the message from Hokkaido to the State of Hawaii. 

 

China Man's Hat Island !

On our way to the northern area of Oahu Island, we went through the valley at the foot of a mountain like a wall. Its hillside was so steep like a cliff but it was covered with green moss or plant.  

This island was called "China Man's Hat " in Oahu. It was a little bit cloudy. The guide in the bus we chartered continued to explain the landscape, scenery and history of what could be seen from the window.

The island shaped like a hat was the landmark for us on our way to the North Shore of Oahu Island. It would take 30 more minutes to reach "Polynesian Cultural Center ".

 

When Hokkaido sent the first official delegation to Hawaii !

When I took the official delegation from the Hokkaido Legislative Assembly in 2016, North Pacific Bank headquartered in Sapporo kindly arranged the meeting with Central Pacific Bank headquartered in Honolulu that had a special cooperative relationship with North Pacific Bank. 

In order to establish the solid, caring, beneficial and everlasting affiliation between Hokkaido and Hawaii, we took the powerful members of the Hokkaido Legislative Assembly and private sector in Hokkaido. 

Just after the arrival of the first official delegation from Hokkaido, we had a short rest in the hotel and headed to the northern Oahu to visit the indigenous people's cultural facility. 

 

The VIP from Heilongjiang visited Tomakomai !

It seemed that the official delegation members from Heilongjiang, China were satisfied with their visit to Hokkaido including Tomakomai, Eniwa, Chitose and Sapporo City.   

They visited Hokkaido to take part in the Official Governors' Conference of Japan and China held in the opportunity of the Chinese Prime Minister's visit to Japan including Hokkaido.

Heilongjiang was one of the key participants because it had the Friendship Affiliation with Hokkaido. We really appreciate their visit and participation to the meeting and official events held in Hokkaido.

 

Business with Heilongjiang ?

The chief engineer of J-Farm kindly gave so nice briefing to the official delegation members from Heilongjiang, China. He seemed to be so used to receiving the important guests from overseas and providing nice briefing to them.  

Making the most of the heat of the ground and pressured air as well as solar power, the facility of J-Farm raise so many tomatoes so effectively and eco-friendly. 

 

The Heat Pomp Plant in Tomakomai !

The official delegation from Heilongjiang, China that has the Friendship Affiliation with Hokkaido visited smart Agri-plant J-Farm in Tomakomai City, Hokkaido after the official Governors' conference between Japan and China held in Sapporo, Hokkaido.

J-Farm in Tomakomai city is one of the most popular places for the guests from overseas, particularly the official delegation of the central and regional government. 

One of the OBs retired from Hokkaido Prefectural Government kindly arranged the smooth and persuasive private tour in this facility that made the most of the state-of-the-art technology composed of the heat-pump photovoltaic generation and hydroponic and  system.   

 

The Governor of Heilongkiang visited Hokkaido !

I hope the delegation from Heilongjiang that had established the Friendship Affiliation with Hokkaido in 1986 enjoyed their visit to Hokkaido amply.  

Even after the Anniversary year, they visited Hokkaido to take part in the Governors' Conference of Japan and China arranged in the occasion of the Chinese Prime Minister's visit to Japan.  

We really appreciate their visit to Hokkaido even if they were urged to do that to keep the face of the governing party in China.

 

The Delegation from China visited the Rice Factory in Ishikari City !

The Vice Governor of Heilongjiang visited the Rice Factory in Ishikari City that was run by Hokkaido Agricultural Association. The rice produce in Heilongjiang was improved and boosted by the cooperation of Japan.  

A certain expert of raising rice crops who was born in Hokkaido contributed to the quantum leap of the rice producing in China including Heilongjiang.  This panel showed from where the rice cultivation had come to Japan.  

As you may know, now that the island of Hokkaido produces top-quality rice crops of a variety and exports them to China and other countries. It could not do that before the improvement of the rice crops and the way of cultivation. The delegation from Heilonjiang spent almost an hour in the factory.
