Taiwanese Cafe in Shitatte Building, Sapporo!

We found a Taiwanese cafe in Shitatte Building in Sapporo. It may be the nearest Taiwanese eatery from my condo. and office. It is crisp Taiwanese fried chicken. My wife prefers crisp textile in total.  

The covering of this Xiaolongbao was a little bit thick than that of our favorite Taiwanese restaurant "Real Taipei" in Sapporo but so good to have. 

The Taiwanese soup rice topped with fried dumpling and veggie was hidden protagonist of the dinner. Authentic Taiwanese Tantanmien was alos nice and the spice of Japanese pepper and sesame paste was top-grade.

 

Pancake in Sapporo Stellar!

It was my first time to eat pancake for dinner, I think. The pancake topped with blueberry jam and maple syrup reminds me of that we had in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. 

Another one was topped with bacon, sausage and grilled potato with sunny-side-up. The amount of the dishes were enough even for us. When I heard about the dinner on that day, I raised my eyebrow but they were so satisfying and surprising. 
 

Taiwanese Breakfast in Maruyama, Sapporo !

We found a Taiwanese restaurant that provides breakfast service as well as lunch and dinner. Taiwanese congee flavored with broth and herb came with century egg, grilled gizzard, spicy sprout, pickled Sichuan vegitable zha cai.

You can eat the congee as much as you can but the toppings are limited. They were so kind even if you were annoyed by hangover.

My wife chose a Taiwanese burger and soy-beans milk soup. They were also so nice to have and looked so good for our health. I want to try the restaurant in the evening too, to be honest. 

 

For the start-up companies !

I forgot to post the photos taken in the cooperative space for the start-up companies. The concept of the facility was superb and the CEO of the facility had a good command in Japanese too.

Thannks to the network of the President of Massachusetts Hokkaido Society Dr. Kiyoko MORITA, we could visit the facility and meet the representative of the company. 

They were planning to establish the same kind of facility in Japan in the near future. We are so looking forward to seeing their branch in Japan.

Hospitality of La Vista Akangawa !

"In the forest where only a river and hot spring spa exist" ～Irankarapte～"Let me touch your heart so tenderly" in the language of the indigenous people in Hokkaido Ainu.

It was written on the paper for our dinner.

The hotel has three chartered hot spring baths facing river flow of Akangawa. I think my wife tried all of them during our stay in the hotel. After the pandemic of covid-19 fromWuhan, China, we made a point of to select the hotels that have theprivate hot spring bath in the room we stayed.   

These kinds of sweets welcomed our visit in the room we stayed. Those sweets gave us the second wing just after our arrival in the hotel. The petit cream puff shaped like a Jack-au-lantern was so delicious and entertained us so much.

 

Dinner in La Vista Akangawa 2!

i found the photos of the dinner in "La Vista Akangawa" we stayed in summer of 2020. Grilled scallop was so huge and tasteful. Sliced sushi-grade fresh fish such as prown, yellow tail and scallop were well-processed by the skilled and seasoned chef. 

Roasted and sliced beef sourced locally showed us the high degrees of skill of the chef. The sweetness of the beef was from the well management of the condition including temperature and humidity as well as the strength of fire. 

Horse-radish sauce fit to the sweetness of the beef to a T. It melted in my mouth just after two or tree bite. My wife looked so satisfied with the textile and the taste of the beef. Grilled pacific saury and boiled shrimp gave a twist to the dinner. It was so happy hours for us. We really appreciate what the hotel staff provided us on that day.  

 

Dinner in La Vista Akangawa !

It may seem to be a simple dinner for Hotel "La Vista" group but I could understand and appreciate enough the process and the quality of food materials as well as the hospitality of the chef for the dishes .    

The food materials sourced locally really entertained and impressed us so much. The countermeasures against the infection of covid-19 was well-organized. The hotelier and the staff seemed to have contemplated and figured out the new manner to let the guests enjoyed their stay.  

I did not expected this shellfish called "Sazae" in that night. A kind of conch called "Ezobaigai" or "Tsubugai" are popular and favorite in Hokkaido as Sazae is in the main island of Japan. It is a little bit bitter than "Tsubu".

 

La Vista Akangawa !

This is the sacred area of the indigenous people in Hokkaido Ainu. Some volcano, mysterious lakes, the habitat of a variety of creatures including Hokkaido brown bears, deer. Lake Onnetoh is at the footof Mt. Meakandake. If you see the lake from the hillside of the mountain, it looks like a blue eye in the green forest. 

I failed to take photos of the dishes in the new hotel "La Vista Akangawa" and these are the dessert and supper on that day. In the hotels of "Dormy Group", the guests can eat ramen noodle soup after dinner. At around 9 p.m., the supper starts.

These are the ramen noodle soup provided in the hotel "La Vista Akangawa" on that day. Not so fatty soup is appropriate as a meal before going bed. Please try the ramen noodle soup in the hotels run by Dormy Group. 

 

Lake Shikotsu from Mt.Tarumae !

We got up early in the morning and headed to Mt.Tarumae near Lake Shikotsu. It was our third time to visit and enjoy trekking on the hillside of the mountain and Mt. Fuppushi. 

The condition on that day was not good and we were not sure if we would be able to enjoy the scenery from the peak of Mt. Tarumae or not. It was cloudy and the peak of the mountain could not be seen from the entrance of the trail to the peak. But much more serious problem happened soon after entering the trail. 

 

As a Keynote Speaker !

I was asked to deliver the speech to the interpreters in Sapporo City to provide them with the information on "Adventure Travel World Summit 2021" to be held in Hokkaido in coming September. 

Basically, the summit meeting will be held in English and the limited VIPs from Japan side need the interpreters for the communications with the top brasses including the CEO of Adventure Travel Trade Association. 

I was many interpreters will be hired for the summit meeting even now but I am also unsure about the possibility to hold the summit meeting in full size or not. 

At least, I would like to invite hundreds of the top influencers of adventure travel on this globe to Hokkaido and let them feel Hokkaido itself with their five senses.
