Hitsujigaoka in Sapporo 2 !

by Kazu

This is one of the most popular places for the tourists to Sapporo to visit and take photos. When I had visited there thirty years ago, many sheep were there and one of them rash into my thigh.
The fences were built to avoid the collision of visitors and the sheep. Many buildings were built on the hill to sell the souvenirs and food.
This is the statue of Dr. Clark who had taught in Sapporo Agricultural School, former Hokkaido University. Some tourists expect this statue on the premises of Hokkaido University but only a torso of Dr. Clark is on the premises of Hokkaido University.
