I visited Mt. Asahidake for the second time after the pandemic of covid-19. It was in October. A little bit snow was left on the hillside of the mountain. Very few tourists could be seen on the trail.
Usually, so many trekkers enjoy the scenery of the mountain and the surroundings in this season. Outdoor activities are good for stress-relief without the fear of the infection but as it was on weekday and foreign could not enter the area of Japan, the hillside was very calm.
It was cloudy on that day but it was good for trekking without strong sunshine and hot temperature. I did not have enough time to go up to the peak then, I walked around the pond and the crater of the mountain.
