Oumu Town to Asahikawa !

by Kazu

After checking up the going of the training seminar to foster the Japanese Teaching Supporters, we headed to Asahikawa City via Nayoro City. So many foxes appeared on the road on our way to Nayoro City.
To be honest, I was a little bit tired after the training course of Japanese Teaching Supporters because I was wondering how many years to build up the total system to support the expatriates in Hokkaido to learn Japanese.

Pork Cutlet Curry of Cafe Jun in Oumu Town !

by Kazu

I was struck by the number of the students of elementary school and junior high school in Okhotsk Sub-prefectural Area of Hokkaido ,who needed Japanese language learning.
Eleven elementary school students whose nationalities were not Japanese and five in junior high.
On top of that, five Japanese elementary school students who came back from overseas needed Japanese language learning. We have to move more quickly than we planned.
After watching the Japanese -teaching supporters' training course in the morning on that day, we had pork cutlet curry rice in a cafe named "Jun" in Oumu Town. I had a delux plate bigger than standard size but it might be too much for me but it was very nice and delicious to have.

Japanese Learning in Oumu Town !

by Kazu

The lookout of the roadside Rest Station in Oumu Town had such view of the town on that day. The in-land view showed one of the key industries in the town, stock breeding. Some large-scale farmers could be seen in the town.
This is the lookout of the roadside rest station and ocean view. The shape was like the beak of the swan and the long tower of elevator is below.
There are 197 expatriates including the trainee workers in seafood processing factories, farms and fisheries in the town.Compared to other municipalities, the percentage of the working trainees and expert workers seemed to be higher.

Asahikawa City and Oumu Town !

by Kazu

It was a little bit raining in Asahikawa Town early in the morning on that day. Chubetsu River flowing on the backside of the railway station seemed to be gentle and the trail on the northern bank looked wet and a little bit slippery.
After jogging around the Japan Railway Station of Asahikawa City, we left Asahikawa at 6:30 in the morning and headed to Oumu Town on the east coast of Hokkaido Island. It took two hours and half to reach the venue of the Japanese-Teaching training course, the Roadside Station in Oumu Town.
The Roadside Station has a lookout from where the port and Okhotsk Ocean can be seen. The shape of the shape of the lookout is curious and like a head of crane. Please check up the outlook of the station at  https://www.google.com/search?q=%E9%9B%84%E6%AD%A6%E7%94%BA%E9%81%93%E3%81%AE%E9%A7%85&oq=%E9%9B%84%E6%AD%A6%E7%94%BA%E9%81%93%E3%81%AE%E9%A7%85&aqs=chrome..69i57.10321j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#lpg=cid:CgIgAQ%3D%3D,ik:CAoSLEFGMVFpcE9aSWVYbVFyeThOQmowX0NfRHRzNGs2WTBwTmNraDN0ai1FMVBv

The Beauty of Ruins !

by Kazu

As the citizens park of comfort, it can not be said that it is well maintained and trimmed but I love the taste of the combination of the decayed artificial structures and rotten trunks, stumps and living creatures on
them.
I have never heard of brown bears around this area but the number of the brown bears in the sanctuary, Siretoko Peninsula, The World Heritage of UNESCO must be increasing and some of them may have to get out of the area and compete for their own territory .
I think the number of the brown bears must be controlled by the human beings otherwise, the conflicts between the species will soon occur because the new breed of brown bears don't afraid of human beings . They did not have chances ty learn that.

Residence of the creatures !

by Kazu

I came hometown Kitami City to polish and worship the tomb of the IKEDAs in August.
I was eager to resume my routine jogging early in the morning in my hometown.
At the end of May, 2023, I had sore Achilles tendon and it took almost two months to recover. On top of that, I had a slight cold just before my coming hometown.
The Green Center in Kitami City had such trail of sample trees. The stumps, trunks of trees on the ground seemed to be made the most of by a wide variety of creatures and creating the solemn atmosphere in the woods.

Rokkasansou in spring and summer !

by Kazu

The photo above was taken in May. The photo below was taken four month later in August. Can you find the difference of the foliage and tree? The sunshine was quite stronger than in spring and the green leaves were swinging like green flames.
The bed of the bridge was filled up with soft wood chips and isolated the restaurant of happiness from the real world. The prelude of the harmony started on this bridge.
I was so happy to be able to have taken my wife there again and aunt for the first time. We were so fascinated by the location, atmosphere, the dishes and hospitality provided by the skilled chef and the pretty maitre'D so much.

The Lunch of Happiness in Rokkasansou !

by Kazu

This is another protagonist of the lunch in Rokka Sansou run by the confectionery Rokkatei headquartered in Obihiro on that day, accompanied by fried potatoes.
As the hot bread baked in the kitchen had so crisp surface and so delicious and soft body, I ordered the second one forgetting the sweets that would follow the main dish.
As I mentioned above, this restaurant hidden in the forest was run by a confectionery, four kinds of sweets were served after grappling with the delicious beef stew and hot bread. A cup of yogurt, cold butter cream and raisin cookie sandwich, rolled creampie, and a plenty of tiramisu appeared in front of us.

Rokkatei Campana and Rokkasanso in Furano !

by Kazu

The vineyard seemed to have started to bear fruits under the bright sunshine. The peaks of Mt. Tokachidake, Mt. Furanodake, Mt. Kamihorokamettoku, Mt. Bieidake, Mt. Biei Fuji could be seen clearly from the confectionery station Rokkatei Campana on that day.
The Genghiskan BBQ house Shirakaba was not so crowded.  We had a reservation for lunch in the hidden mountain lodge run by Rokkatei, "Rokka Sansou" on that day, so we headed to the woods after leaving Campana.
The lunch in April was occidental style. The starter was cold corn cream soup and cold peeled tomato topped with chopped onion. Needless to say, the tomato was soaked in the hot water and peeled. The sauce was so refreshing and inspiring. The protagonist on the stage was the special beef stew or veggie gratin.

Suwa Shrine in Sapporo in summer, 2023!

by Kazu

It is called "Flower Worship" to visit and pray at the Shrine decorated with flowers in summer. We visited Suwa Shrine in Sapporo on that day. Historically, the shrines in Japan have play the role of community centers in each region. The functions were damaged by  the General Headquarters that occupied Japan after World War Ⅱ.
But we have not lost our original traditional mindset and culture. Suwa Shrine is near Suwa Lake in Nagano Prefecture. The local deity was worshipped in Suwa Shrine. Takeminakata no Kami arrived
in Lake Suwa after defeated by the God who came to Japan after the first goup of deities.

The Shrine was decorated so nicely like summer festival on that day. I was wondering who called the shot on this design and  arrangement.
