New workforce from Myanmar!

There are 549 Myanmar people living in Hokkaido and 277 technical trainees form Myanmar are working and learning. Sixteen international students are learning in Hokkaido.

The Myanmar delegation members were invited and guided by the construction company Seiwa Kogyo in Hokkaido that has the branch office in Myanmar.

The delegation of Myanmar Construction Enterprises Federation headed by Mr. Thet Lin visited Hokkaido and met the powerful members of Hokkaido Legislative Assembly.

Mr. Fumiaki TAKAHASHI delivered the welcome remarks to the delegation and asked them to dispatch able staffers of their company in Myanmar.

A training facility for the workers of construction companies in Myanmar will be established. After the training in the facility, the trainees will be dispatched to Japan including Hokkaido. That is the current plan.

National Vice President of China and Tom Soya !

National Vice President of China Mr. Wang Qishan did not know the name of the ship which he took but it is funny to see him get off the ship with the name of t"Adventure of Tom Soya" for the namesake of American famous character in the novel.
Mr. Wang allowed the hosts to take photos together. Mayor of Toyako Town, Vice Governor of Hokkaido, Senior Director for International Affairs of Hokkaido and the CEO of the cruising ship company joined the photo session.

The catch on the roof of the deck was "Becoming a foreigner on the lake. Trip to Lake Toya". Actually, the Chinese delegation is foreigners. I am not sure if they recognized the catch over their head but this shot is so funny for me. What do you think about this situation ?

The mayor of Toya-ko Town Mr. Maya was so pleased to have the opportunity to introduce Mr. Wang his experience to visit Beijing and his plan to establish a sister-city relationship with Hainan Dao of China.

The cruiser reached the pier after 30 minute cruise on the lake. Mr. Wang looked so relaxed and satisfied. He is also a smoker like other Chinese people.

The Consul General of China in Sapporo Mr. Sun also looked so satisfied with the response of Mr. Wang and the scenery he could show Mr. Wang. I am very happy to see them satisfied fo the better relationship of China and Japan including Hokkaido.

The cruiser carrying the National Vice President of China Mr. Wang Qishan left the central island in Lake Toya and headed to the pier it had left 30 minutes before. The Chinese delegation might want more trees with red-colored leaves but around Lake Toya, it was the best scenery of the season.

I do not think that the Chinese delegation members were interested in the scenery under the water of the lake but SCUBA divers like me are so interested in the magnificent landscape under the water, too.

As the Mayor of Toya-koTown Mr. Maya wanted to show the photo taken with Mr. Toshihiro NIKAI, one of the most powerful national Diet members, in Beijing, I asked Consul General of China in Sapporo Mr. Sun to introduce Mr. Maya to Mr. Wang in the cruiser.

The central island of Lake Toya was so nice on that day that almost all the delegation members from China took photos of them with the island.

The Consul General of China and his wife took photos with Mr. Wang so happily.

The Ambassador of China to Japan also took photos with Mr. Wang and other members followed him.

I think that the official cameraman of China could take so nice memorial photos of Mr. Wang with the background of autumnal foliage on the central island in Lake Toya.

The color of the leaves had not been so bright one week before his visit to Lake Toya but the weather and the bright color of the leaves were so fine and beautiful.

Before the sunset on that day, they could see the unforgettable scenery of the lake and the hills and island around the lake.

Mr. Wang Qishan visited Hokkaido!

The Vice President, in other words, the Vice Head of China Mr. Wang Qishan visited Noboribetsu, Hokkaido. He happened to meet the CEO of Daiichi Takimotokan, well-established hotel with high-quality hot spring spa, Ms. Tomoko MINAMAMI on his way back to his VIP car from Jigokudani which means "the Hell Valley" in Japanese.

She has a high degrees of skill to entertain the VIPs from all over the world. When I took the President of Palau to her hotel in 2016, she kindly escort the First Lady of Palau to its hot spring spa.

I sent these photos to her just after their meeting in Noboribetsu City. They were so satisfied and energized with each other. For the future of Japan, we have to avoid over tourism and should minimize the negative effect to the team.

The National Vice President of China Mr. Wang Qishan seemed to be enjoying the wind and the scenery around the lake. It was not so cold on that day.

Many cameramen took his photo so frequently on the deck. Soon the central island in the lake appeared with its bright color of red, yellow and green.

The bright color of autumn attracted the attention of Mr. Wang Qishan. Other members of the Chinese delegation also seemed to be satisfied with the scenery and his satisfaction.

Mr. Wang did not seem to be so tired and he sat back and stretch his legs. He seemed to be so relaxed in the bright sunshine of beautiful autumn.

He went out of the lounge and was taken photos on the deck of the cruiser. It was so fine and the autumnal foliage around the lake was so bright.

He was like an idle on the deck and his pose was so nice and attractive in the autumnal scenery. I hope he was satisfied with the scenery of autumn and the beautiful foliage.

Hokkaido-Canada Society!

Canada-lovers in Hokkaido got togehter on November 14(Thu.). It was the annual meeting of Hokkaido-Canada Society and Sister-cities of Canadian municipalities. It seemed that each city and town is dtruggling with a variety of challenges.
The President of the Society Mr. Yoshihiro SEKIHACHI delivered the opening remarks at the beginning of the conference.

Mr. Shinichi Tsujio of Canadian Trade Commissioner in Sapporo took part in the meeting and discussed the challenges facing the municipalities in Hokkaido. I delivered the information on Canadian politics and how to involve the households in international exchanges including homestaying and homevisiting..
