I did not think tomato plants live longer than a year but it was not true. They live for years and bear the fruits again and again. It is impossible to grow to this size only in a year.
Mr. Abe and Mr. Li seemed to be gabbed their hearts by the huge tomato plant with thick branches and trunk. The President of Japan China Friendship Association in Hokkaido Mr. Aoki who had met the President of China Mr. Xi Jinping also accompanied on that day.
Minister Mr. Nishimura was dispatched from the central government of Japan to express the appreciation and show the hospitality to the delegation. I am not sure where he is as of today.
