Southern Coastline of Rishiri Island !

by Kazu

There were two lookout in the newly opened sea park. One is to see Mt. Rishirifuji and the perspective of the island. Another one is to see the horizen of the ocean. The deck is the latter. I didn't think that the rocky beach was for swimming but for divers like me, the face of the beach was so attractive and made me imagine the landscape under the water so easily.
Snorkeling along the coastline of the island may take a day but that may arouse a doubt of porching. Compared to the southern ocean on this globe, not so huge creatures can not be expected to see near the coast other than salmon, atka mackerrel, seals and orca.
Sometimes sea lions can be seen and sometimes they give damages to the nets and products of fishermen. This cove seemed to be a good place for marine lives to have a rest and for divers like me to explore.
