Malama Hawaii annual meeting 2 !

Fortunately, my wife could take photo with the youngest Governor Mr. Naomichi SUZUKI in the annual meeting of Malama Hawaii Hokkaido which is the association of Hokkaido lovers headed by the Hokkaido Smile Ambassador in Hawaii Ms. Reiko T. Rogers.

The chefs of Hawaii Royal Hawaiian Hotel visited Sapporo to take part in the Snow Sculpture Contest of Sapporo Snow Festival 2020. They had taken part in the competition every year.

The former Vice Governor of Hokkaido Mr. Yoshihiro YAMAYA also took part in the annual meeting. He had been moved the history and the efforts of Japanese immigrants to Hawaii and convinced of the importance to maintainn the relationship between Hokkaido and Hawaii. So he had ordered me to restore the relationship between Hokkaido and Hawaii and to establish a sister-state affiliation between the regions.
