For the future of Rishiri Island !

The marshes in Rishiri Island, Rebun Island and the northern end of Hokkaido Island had been designated as one of the National Park in Japan. The typical image of the northern marsh may be the symbol of the diversity of the creature.

The mayors of Rishiri Town and Rishirifuji Town, the President of the Destination Management Organization in Rishiri Island, an adventure travel guide, hotelier, fisherman took part in the discussion on the future of the island and their requests.

The Vice Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Mr. Gaku Hasegawa led off and delivered a speech to thank enough for taking time for the meeting. I hope the requests from Rishiri Island will be contemplated and gain the momentum in the central government of Japan.
