Both Mayors of Engaru Town and Bastos City, Brasil , the Chairs of both City and Town Council took the memorial photos beside the Obsidian Monument. It was huge and had beautiful black glass stone inside.
It seemed be so hard work to find and carry the huge Obsidian rock to the center of the town. One of the members of the official delegation from Bastos, Brasil who was 79 years old and played the role of interpreter got sick the day before the ceremony.
I was so concerned about his health condition but he recovered on that day. He must have been tired after the long flights from the other side on this globe. They had been packed in the small seats all the way from Brasil.
