What made the highland marsh ?

by Kazu

The trees of Ezo spruce and Todo( Sealion) spruce left their green leaves on the branches. As the flat space seemed to be the living space for hermits or deities, the person who had found the marsh named it "Shinsennuma".
The marsh has the acreage of 4.18 ha and that of the pond 1.19 ha.The deepest point of the pond has two meters in depth and the average 1.3 meters. Compared to the usual year, it had been hotter and the autumnal beautiful leaves appeared later than usual.
Many people visit this marsh every year. The place is kept clean and the wooden path is well-maintained. The color of the area turned drub in autumn but we felt the breathing of the creatures there.
