We paid a courtesy call on the President of the Republic of Palau Mr. Tommy Renengesau and handed the souvenir wood carving of a brown bear. It was made by one indigenous artist in Hokkaido called Ainu.
President Remengesau received us so kindly. He seemed to be so satisfied with our visit and allowed us to take such photos before our departure.
I interpreted the words of greetings and appreciation from both sides. It was the second for me to play the role as an interpreter for the President.
