Our best friend from Taiwan Mr. Shu, the Representative of Taiwan paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Hokkaido Mr. Naomichi SUZUKI to say good-bye on June 248Thu.) It's a pity that he left Sapporo but he will continue to be the bridge between Taiwan and Japan including Hokkaido.
I chose the memento for Mr. Shu. It was a pair of glassware featuring moon and rabbit. I hope he will like them and use.
The present from Mr. SHu was a set of China shaped like dumplings called ”Xiaolongbao” in Chinese. It is also a pity that his able staff Ms. Li also has to leave Hokkaido in this month. I hope we will be able to have dinner with her before her departure.
