This is the scenery that could be seen from the peak of Mt. Mauna Kea. The mountain is higher than Mt. Fuji in Japan. To avoid suffering from altitude sickness, we stopped by on the hillside of the mountain and drank some cups of coffee on our way to the summit.
Just before dawn, the red color of the lava of Mt. Kilauea reflected on the dark sky. Several astronomical observatories of Japan, the United States and other countries were around us.
The sea of white clouds could be seen below. Fortunately, my wife was not annoyed by headache. I was a little bit concerned on her health condition. What a wonderful world we live !
