Utoro Area could be seen from the road from Shiretoko Pass to the northern ocean. The number of tourists who visited Shiretoko Peninsula had plunged after the pandemic of CCP virus but increased gradually. With no tourists from overseas, it might be so comfortable a chance for the citizens of Hokkaido to find the cutting edge of the tourism in Hokkaido.
Mu wif and I had mada a point of visiting Shiretoko Area every summer but after the designation of the area as one of the Natural World Heritage of UNESCO.
We found the beauty and the charm of the area again on that day. Many humpback whales and killer whales visit this area every year. Their line dance for matching can be seen offshore of the coast.
