It was a pity that I could not check up the landscape of the underwater in that area but the sky, the mountains over the sea level could not be better than that. Before the peninsula was designated as one of the World Heritage of UNESCO, I had used to dive into the cold water along the coastline of the peninsula.
But it is prohibited now to dive into the ocean in that area. I think sea kayaking is allowed under the supervision of the local skilled guides. As the line dance of killer whales for matching can be seen offshore of the peninsula, some tourists seemed to have itchy feet to fly drones.
Beautiful bright blue sky seemed to be able to absorb everything to the higher level but I don't like to see many drones in the blue sky of Shiretoko Peninsula. For the sustainable development of the tourism and striking a balance between the tourism and the preservation of the wildlives in the nature, more discussion and trials may be required.
