We visited Maeda Forest Park in Sapporo on way back from Niseko to Sapporo. Violet and white blossoms of wisteria were on the girders around the long water pool like the one in front of the Lincoln Memorial.
There is no huge obelisk on the opposite side of the building. But they reminded me of the memorial park in Washington, D.C. It was a little bit too cold to stay long there on that day.
No fish could not be seen in the water. It was very shallow. So many Poplars were on both sides of the water pool. Many citizens were around the pool and in the woods. The park seemed to be well-maintained and loved by the citizens.
