Double cherry blossoms were in full flourish in the Fort Goryokaku on that day. They tend to start blooming soon after other kinds of cherry blossoms fully bloomed.
Under the bright sunshine in early May, their color of pink was shining and made impressive contrast with the blue sunshine.
The building of the magistrate's office in Hakodate was rebuilt just for tourism promotion based on the precise drawing plan. The tourists can have a glance at the interior inside the building.
