Precisely speaking, the stories of the children's picture books "Maaru the Ghost" were written by the author "Keitarou" and the paintings were created by our friend Ms. Rei Nakai.
"A Night at the National Ainu Museum" was the official title of the event in English. "Upopoi Night Museum" the sub-title of the event was at the foot of the sigh with the character "Maaru the Ghost".
These are the traditional Ainu houses called "Chise" in the language of the indigenous people of Hokkaido called "Ainu". The walls were made of the bunches of dried reed plant. these are comparatively huge compared to their original practical ones used until decades ago.
