I made a business jaunt to Mashike Town on the west coast of Hokkaido Island, Japan. Before joining the meeting, we dropped by an eatery "Fukuyoshi" which main cuisine was Japanese sushi sourced locally.
The fresh sushi-grade seafood rice bowl was one of the big draw of the restaurant for lunch but needless to say, top quality shushi topped with large pieces of sliced seafood also allure the citizens of the town and the tourists.
This fresh raw seafood rice bowl was topped with the slices of salmon, shrimp, octopus, fatty tuna, scallop, mackerel, sea urchin, halibut, squid, Hokkaido surf clam and grilled egg flavored with kelp and bonito broth. It was about 20 US Dollars. I chose the sushi lunch on that day. King Crab meat, abalone and salmon roe was the difference from the rice bowl.
