Whip cream, peach sorbet, strawberry ice cream and fruit with macaroon. A chou a la creme, in English a cream puff was my choice was my choice on that day. This branch confectionery is the only one that provides the customers with such ocean view landscape with the quality sweets in Hokkaido.
Rokkatei Hakodate opens 10:00 am every day but the cafe does 11:00 am. Before its cafe's open time, many people write their name on the waiting list beside the staircase of the confectionery. The cafe is on the second floor.
The character "誠 Makoto" which means "Truth" in Japanese is the symbol of the old guard of Edo Administration at the end of Edo Era, Shinsengumi, before Meiji Restoration. The gate is located on the northern side of Hakodate Railway Station. Some eateries, souvenir shops, cafes and grilled chicken skewer bistro are in the nostalgic- designed street in the right-hand side building.
