Many guests were on the stage to call the start of the Vietnam Festival in Sapporo 2022. Tape-cut ceremony was conducted under the bright sunshine. Many international students, trainees and expatriates from Vietnam seemed to be enjoying the Vietnamese cuisine with the citizens of Hokkaido.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan also attended to the opening ceremony with other top brasses of the embassy. The festival was held in 2019 for the first time in Sapporo City but because of the pandemic of covid-19, it was not held in 2020, 2021.
The festival resumed this year and will continue to be held every year. Why Vietnam, why every year different from other countries? We have to explain about it every year but anyway, Vietnam is very important country for Japan including Hokkaido.
