Japanese northern territory Kunashiri Island could be seen from Shiretoko Pass on that day.The blue sky and the white clouds over Shiretoko Pass made so nice contrast with the deep green of the spruces.
Strong winds were blowing over the pass and brought gray clouds and fog from the ocean. A few tourists were strolling around the pass and the lookout. Much fewer than usual.
It seemed to be so tough for tourists to stay on the pass because of the cold and strong wind. The landscape from Shiretoko Pass energizes me every time we visit.
