Mt. Yotei with setting sun!

The shades of the clouds in the sky and Mt. Niseko Annupri were ruling the scenery and the darkness of the night was getting closer to Niseko Hirafu area. Soon the area would covered with the darkness. So many tourists from overseas and other area of Japan had hung out around this area even in the night but not so much on that day.

I was so concerned about the future of the tourism industry of Hokkaido and other part of Japan. It may be getting so difficult to expect the tourists from overseas anymore. The fear of infection may be much more contagious than the virus.

We have to strike a balance between preventing the virus from infecting and avoiding economic depression. The number of the cases of covid-19 infection is increasing in Japan even now. The situation in Hokkaido is not so bad but in the metropolitan area such as Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, the state of emergency might be announced.
