Viva ! Tsuruga Wings !

This is the main dining room in Tsuruga Wings. Lake Akan and Mt.O-Akan-dake can be seen through the huge sheet glasses. O means male in Japanese. Mt.Me-Akan-dake is the other side of the hotel. Me means female in Japanese. The day-tour including lunch and spa is popular like other branch hotels in Hokkaido.
 The lunch in this main dining is buffet style.
The ceiling is decorated appropriately over the ample space over the head.

The symbolic pillar is at the center of the restaurant.

 The ingredients of the cuisine is very healthy but the amount to eat should be controlled by ourselves.
This is the entrance of the main spa of Tsuruga wings that has no outside bath. I mistook the exit for emergency as the door to the outside spa and saw just the stairs when I opened the door. 
These subtle Japanese taste arts are exhibited in each space of this hotel.

 Without thinking, just feeling the objects made me comfortable in the hotel.

After soaking in the bath, decks are available to watch the supreme scenery not through the sheet glass of the window.

The wind blown by God called Kamui in Hokkaido goes on the surface of our body.  One night stay may be not enough, once we enter the space created by the staff members of Tsuruga Hotel Resort Group. It is not so humid in summer in Hokkaio and touring by bicycle is extremely comfortable and make your life much happier

I think I will be able to introduce the spa in the flagship hotel of Tsuruga Hotel Group!

Art of Indigenous people Ainu in Tsuruga !

The name of the new annex of Tsuruga Hotel in Akan is "WINGS". The motif is the wing of Eagle Owl called "Ezo Shima Fukuro". I imagine the "Nike" called "Victoire de Samothrace" in French and "Winged Victory" in English. 

These textile are
of the traditional design in Ainu culture.They are like Japanese but not Japanese. Should I get allowed to post these photos on this blog site by the CEO of Tsuruga Hotel Resort Group?
I really appreciate the cooperation of Tsuruga  Hotel Resort Group. It's my last resort!

This chair is made of the antlers of deers in Hokkaido. Would you like it? We have to reduce the number of deers in Hokkaido to protect the lives of farmers and make the most of the bodies of deers with gratefulness!

Guide Rouge recommended!

Tsuruga Hotel Group established its highest reputation in Hokkaido by giving the hospitality a tangible shape and the flavour of the culture peculiar to the indigenous people in Hokkaido Ainu.
So-called "Guide rouge", I mean Michelin's guide book evaluated the hotel Tsuruga as "the most comfortable hotel".
Many sculptures of Ainu taste are exhibited at the space between the flagship hotel Tsuruga and the new annex of Tsuruga, named Tsuruga Wings "Hishou-kan".
The hotel promises the quality time is guaranteed with its experienced and skilled staff.



Calm space is reserved in each part of the hotel.
This space is one of those place for peace of heart.
Annex "RERA" has the modern designers rooms and is loved by female guests and the couples to celebrate their anniversaries. RERA means wind in the language of indigenous people Ainu. 

For stay, 12,600 to 52,500 Japanese Yen is the rate per night with dinner and breakfast.
Speaking of the supreme annex "Hina no Za", 24,150 to 63,000 Japanese Yen is required for one night stay with dinner and breakfast. The supreme annex was given the rate of "gorgeous and supreme" by Michelin's guide book.

From the open air hot spring spa of flagship hotel and the annex Wings and Hina no za, the wild forest and the emerald lake can be seen. 
No more explanation is necessary. Just feel and breathe deeply in Akan. That change something in your heart.

SUMIRE Ramen restaurant is great!

Japanese Chinese noodle soup restaurant SUMIRE is one of my favorite ramen restaurants. I heard that the original recipe of  its miso (fermented soybeans flavour) ramen was developed by the Mom of the restaurant and her kids expand its business to all over Japan.
I think it can be said that  SUMIRE restaurant is the No,1 ramen restaurant on this globe.

 Once you had a taste of the ramen, you will never be the same;) Please try, try, try! The fried rice in this restaurant is also superb and my wife's favorite.

Drink up the excellent soup and the two characters of "KANSHA" which means "thanks"can be seen at the bottom of the pot.

SUMIRE restaurant has many branch restaurants all over Japan even in Tokyo and Kyoto. Real satisfaction is guaranteed!

I was struck by the taste of Miso ramen but other taste should be tried next time. The soup is very very hot but the surface of the soup was covered with melted fat so please be careful !

Present to the winner !

I have not come up with an idea on the quiz of the month in August but have already decided the present for the winner of the quiz in August.
I got this bicycle as the present in the beer party hosted by the construction business association in Iwamizawa last Tuesday.
It has no gear change system but the size of the tire is 28 inches and it is very comfortable to ride. 

 The quiz of the month will be very difficult, I think.
But the hints will lead you all to the right answer, absolutely. But the quiz and the information on this blog are mainly for the expatriates in Hokkaido. Japanese people have the local advantages so please  show consideration to the friends from overseas.

It is a mere tool of moving but it may make your life more comfortable and much more enjoyable. The winner of this bicycle should register the  name and the serial number to the police station to avoid theft. Is it too big to send to the winner?
I hope many people get interested in the quiz and answer.  

I will go camping to NUMATA Town with my wife this weekend and enjoy BBQ and binge drinking with the mayor of the town Mr.Kanehira and his able staff Mr.Yokoyama in HOROSHIN Onsen area.Light-emitting insects can be seen in this season, I think.

Lake AKAN!

Congratulation again, Andy!
I will send you the present soon!
I won't have enough time to seek for the appropriate present in Sorachi this month so I may choose the coupon issued by the Japanese credit card company.
Next month, the bicycle I got at the beer party last night will be the present for the winner of the quiz in August.
I will post the photo of the bicycle tomorrow.

I am back from the conference for the future of the region!

Lake AKAN is very famous with round green algae MARIMO as well as its mysterious atmosphere made by the myths of the indigenous people Ainu.

MARIMO is heavier than imagined.  

Lake AKAN and mountains around the lake show a variety of countenances every time, every day and every week.

Large-sized ships are available to enjoy the sight enough for tourists.

Speed boat is also available for younger. But I prefer kayak to keep it calm around myself.

Surrounded by these mystic nature, the hotel TSURUGA entertains the guests so much with the cuisine, art of indigenous people Ainu and creates special space.
