We also visited JASH, Japan-America Society in Hawaii to get the information on "the Sister-State, -Cities Summit in Hawaii 2023". It was postponed a few times because of the pandemic of covid-19. Actually, when I visited Honolulu in January of 2020 for pleasure, as Director for International Exchange, I visited there to meet Ms. Reina Kaneko.
The former Chair of JASH Mr. Sal Miwa had played so important role in every big event held in Hawaii involving the Japanese American citizens.
When the former Prime Minister late Mr. Shinzo ABE visited Honolulu he asked Mr. Sal Miwa to get together one thousand Japanese American in Honolulu. Mr. Miwa worked so hard to satisfy the former Prime Minister. Everybody relies on him.
