On the back side of "Jigokudani" which means "Hell valley"in Japanese, there are two hot spring ponds in Noboribetsu. "Ohyunuma" and "Okunoyu" can be found on your way from the hotspring spa area of Noboribetsu City to Lake Kuttara.
There is a restroom building beside these ponds but there is no one beside Lake Kuttara. So you should make sure that you don't need to pull over your automobile beside the road and piss there.
The water of the pond is very hot, so please do not enter these pond. It is not allowed to do that to preserve the natural beings. There are very nice hot spring spas in the hotels built location in the valley.
