If you watch Lake Kuttara from Orofure Pass, you can recognize that its shape is almost perfect circle. Actually, my wife was so moved by the beautiful shape in the nature in her infancy. Icpuld easily imagine the scenery in which my wife in her infancy was surprised and cried out.
Lake Kuttara is a caldera lake and for the namesake of the beach called "Kojohama"near there that was named by .the indigenous people in Hokkaido Ainu. The water is so barren, not fertile.
In order to keep the quality of the lake water clean, pretty low fertirity of the water of the lake is preferable but may be tough for creatures to inhabit.
