Pavilhau Japones, Sao Paulo !

by Kazu

The Hokkaido Delegation members took memorial photos in front of the cenotaph for the deceased immigrants from Japan in Ibirapuera Park, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
I was wondering how many members of the Hokkaido Delegation would be able to visit and pray for the deceased there again. Actually, some of them visited there for the second time or third time.
After praying for the immigrants from Hokkaido, we headed to Japanese Pavilion in Sao Paulo. Ibiepuera Park had been developed in the southern area of Sao Paulo in 1954. Japanese Pavilion was built then in Japanese "Sukiya-style" to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the establishment of the city.
