IZUMO Shrine in Honolulu !

Trekking around Manoa Waterfalls was so refreshing. My wife may prefer trekking to diving in the ocean. Actually she panicked in the first dive in the deep blue sea.

My wife loves to collect the letter bearing the Shogun's scarlet seal at  the office of Japanese shrine. Naturally we visited IZUMO Taisha Shrine in Honolulu and asked to issue the letter withe scarlet seal.

Hokkaido Hawaii Relationship !

I hope that  The Honorable Mr. David IGE Governor of the State of Hawaii, the USA would be able to visit Hokkaido this year but he is and will be very busy.

 A variety of events he has already been booked in are well-planned on this globe. Even so, I am eager to have him hear in Hokkaido during my mandate as Director for International Exchange of Hokkaido Government.

 Even if his official visit to Hokkaido will be in next year or later, I will do my best and contribute to making his fabulous memory in Hokkaido.
I promise in front of Manoa Waterfalls.

Manoa Falls Trail 2 !

Manoa Waterfall was not so big but gave the trekkers ample minus ion and refreshing air with beautiful scenery.It made the trekkes smile and comfortable but the noisy       trekkers were the nuisance on the way.

What do you think of the wild rain forest like a bunch of green monsters? Many times, those wild sceneries have been used in movie filming of Hollywood.

A few huge dinosaurus may come out of the big trees but there are no dinosaur on the island nor the huge marnal. Can you imagine the big face of a dinosaur appears from the shade of big trees ? frofrr                                                                                                                                         

Manoa Falls Trail !

It took fifteen minutes to go to the entrance of the trail to Manoa Falls by car from Waikiki. The air around the trail and the water fall was so different from that of other aea of the island.

I think it took approximately forty minutes to walk to Manoa Waterfall from the entrance. The original wild forest of the island is preserved on the island.

Some trekkers from South America was lstening to the music while walking on the trail without earphone. I preferred listening to the charping of  to being annoyed by the sound of sound blasters.In Hokkaido, we have to wear a bear bell to avoid bear attacks. But in Hawaii, no bear attack can not be expected. Even so, the noisy trekkers annoyed other trekkers. 

Hokkaido-Hawaii Relationship !

A bare mountain was near the road beside the coastline. I could not find the people who parked their cars in the parking lot of the lookout. i could not imagine ourselves living in Hawaii but my wife is eager to live in such warm area on this globe.

Each of the Hawaii Islands are smaller than Hokkaido Island.  No hot spring spa they have in Hawaii. A little bit snow fall on the top of Mauna Kea on the Big Island. It is very difficult to own a flat as large as the ones we have in Sapporo City.

Even so, my wife urge to find the job in Hawaii. It's her dream and I have to exert my best effort for that even if she will cry and will be eager to come back to Hokkaido.
We headed to Manoa Falls.

Lady of Waikiki !

Above is the photo of the balcony of the Lady of Waikiki, Moana Surf Rider Waikiki by Westin. A dozen of rocking chairs are there and everybody can sit there without staying in the hotel.
Pleasure Islands' breeze was and is very comfortable in the night.

The next morning, we had pancakes in the restaurant "Eggs'n Things". We had to wait for a while until escorted to the table in the restaurant. Breadbeggers were sitting by the queue of the tourists who had been waiting for their turn.

After savoring enough the pancakes, we hit the road to the beach of east coast of Oahu Island. It was a pity that the parking lots of Hanauma Bay was filled up with atomobiles when we dropped by in that morning.
We dropped by the lookout near the bay. 

Steakhouse in Hawaii !

Hokkaido and Hawaii estableshed a Sister-State relationship on May 8(Mon), 2017. I had to visit Hawaii many times for that in business jaunt and private one for that and deepening and widening exchanges between the regions.

This time, I took my wife to Honolulu for pleasure. Just after our arrival, we went to Royal Hawaiian Shopping Mall and had a lunch in Wolfgang Steak House on the third floor.

Sizzling T-bone steak lunch set was our choice on that day. Anothe our favorite is Hy's Steakhouse near there. Which would you like better ? We also love to sit in the balcony of Lady of Waikiki, Moana Surf Rider Waikiki. Swinging on the rocking chair in the wind is so comfortable.
