Morning Marche in Hakodate !

You can pick up the squid from the pool and ask the chef in the marche to cook them up. Sushi-grade sashimi, grilled, sauteed or fried squid as you like.

One of the most famous food reporter in Japan would express such seafood rice bowl as "Jewelry box " of seafood ! Above is so-called "Makanai Donburi" that means the rice bowl for the chefs and staffers.

Salmon roe, scallop, sea urchin, squid, salmon and other kinds of fish were in the same bowl. A variety of rice bowls are shown as below. What would you chose from them ?
