I am not sure how many years this tree has been looking the lives of citizens in Sapporo City. But the roots and trunks seemed like an octopus on the hillside of Mt. Maruyama.
Everyday, so many trekkers go up the hillside of Mt. Maruyama and enjoy the overview of Sapporo City. So many birds and squirrels could be seen on that day. You can see their houses in the trunks of the trees on the hillside.
The trees were like hobgoblins on the hill and witnessing a variety of lives of the citizens. The hard roks on the hillside might have helped forming such curious shapes of the trunks and roots of those trees.
