At the end of my small tour on the island "Kamome-jima", a small kitten greeted to me by saying "Nya!" but it seemed to be so sleepy in the comfy sunshine of spring.
Looking back the entrance of the island and the traditional red gate to the sacred area, I left the beach to go back to Hakodate City where my wife was enjoying Japanese traditional tea ceremony.
The coastline from Esashi Town through Matsumae Town to Hakodate was so nice to drive along. Carved by the seasonal winds and waves from the northwest, so many rocks shaped up with a kind of artistic sense could be seen here and there along the coast.
