The Electrical Construction Competition in Hokkaido Progressing !

The mandate of the competition was to make up the electrical circuit on the board in front of the judges who had worked in the industry for decades, needless to say, paying ample attention to the safety of the work itself and behaviors.

The competition had the males category and females. The female competitors showed their wonderful and steady skills amply including the wrap-up works to fold their tools and safety plastic sheet. But the judge checked up their works in views of safety and perfection.

The female competitor who usually worked as an office clerk won the competition though her finished her work the second fastest in the competition. The judge decided the fastest female competitor did not set the gadgets firmly on the board. That was one of the point to decide the winner.

As I am now in charge of the industrial safety in the area of electrical construction, high-pressured and explosive gas, gun powder, mining and so forth, I was invited to the Electrical Construction Competition of Hokkaido held in the Industrial Training Center in Sapporo.

Some young technicians who had been trained for years showed their skill and technique on the board. The behaviors and manners to make up the circuit should be evaluated by the judges who had worked in the industry for many years.

It took for hours to make up the electrical circuit designed by the association of the Electrical Construction Association of Hokkaido. The competitors attention paid to the safety and precision seemed to be observed by the judges so carefully. The work can not be replaced by the physical AI, I think.

 

Dinner from Niseko !

We bought many tomatoes, asparagus, cabbage, cucumber produced in Haga Farm and fruit&nuts cheese made in Takahashi Ranch flourishing in Niseko Area. Many international capitals are investing in the area to build luxury accommodations and resorts. 

Some ranches and farms have been as successful in branding and marketing their produces and products in Kutchan/Niseko Area of Hokkaido as the powder snow for skiing and snowboarding of the area in winters. 

Some citizens of the area and visitors may be missing the promising seasonal frappuccino of Starbucks but the area has other kinds of delicious and inspiring drinks for kids and adults. The Destination Management Organization of the area is struggling to allure the tourists from overseas even in green season as Switzerland had been successful before but the way to reach the success may get the hotel rate in summer more expensive for us.   
 

Shakotan Peninsula over the bay 2026 !

I've never swum in the ocean this year so far. I can't expect comfy diving this year because I will have surgical operation soon. I seems to be prohibited to jog around for a month after the operation.                                                           

I am missing the breathtaking landscape under the water around Hokkaido and overseas as well as the huge creatures in the ocean. The beach was so calm on that day and the cafe was closed. It might be a little bit too early to visit the seasonal cafe. 

No automobiles in the parking lot near the beach on that day. It will be filled up with  SUVs and camping cars in coming summer. The coastline from Yoichi Town through Otaru, Sapporo, Ishikari, Hamamasu could be seen so clearly on that day.
 

Photogenic of Niseko !

There are some spots to take photos against the backdrop of Mt. Yotei.  Takahashi Ranch also has some stages to take memorial photos with the logos of "NISEKO", hay bales and old-style cultivating tractors.   

I don't think the hay bale on the photo spot in the ranch had been changed for years but the smell of the hay bale seemed to be fresh and not rotten. Many visitors happily took their photos with the beautiful landscape.

On our way back to Sapporo from Niseko, we dropped by the beach in Yoichi Town to have cafe latte of "Wilderness Cafe"near the beach. As I posted before, it is a small cafe but with so exotic atmosphere. Actually, many foreigners visited there and had solid hours.

 

Hotel Nikko Niseko Style 2026 !

We love the interior design of Hotel Nikko Niseko Style and its hot spring spa. But when we stay in the hotel, we make a point of bringing in the culinary delights cooked and sourced locally in the other facility of the area, to be honest.    

We have to make the most of the room in our stomach during our stay in Kutchan /Niseko Area. Hirafu Area which is the center of the hot spring spa and resort in Kutchan/Niseko Area has another delights to enjoy our stay. A variety of eateries and shops can entertain the visitors including the skiers and snowboarders in winter.

We had quatro fromage pizza and baked potato for lunch on that day. Mozzarella cheese and tomato carpaccio accompanied. The quality of fromage is so high and the crisp dough satisfied us so much that I could not help compare it with the ones of our favorite Italian restaurant Mia Angela in Sapporo.　  

 

Niseko Hanazono still Developing !

Near the beautiful villa on the hillside, some new buildings were under construction against the backdrop of beautiful skyline and green field. Some are the new accommodation for the tourists and some for private use.

The green hill was surrounded with wire fences and something artificial design could be seen on the top. No cows and sheep could be seen there. I was wondering if brown bears were strolling around this area or not. I've never heard of brown bear attack around Kutchan/Niseko Area so far.

So many brown bears were seen in the southern part of Oshima Peninsula and an old lady was eaten in Shiriuchi Town during her work in the veggie field. Kutchan/Niseko Area may have something special to avoid bear attack.
