Ambassador of Lithuania in Japan ２!

At the end of the courtesy call paid to the Secretary General to the Governor of Hokkaido by His Excellency Mr. Gediminas Varvuolis, the Ambassador received a memento from the Secretary General. 

It is called"Ita" in the language of the indigenous people of Hokkaido Ainu. It is the wood carving shaped like a tray. The former Ambassador of Lithuania, current Ambassador and Honorary Consul Mr. Fujii took photos with the Secretary General.

His Excellency Mr. Gediminus Varvuolis Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania paid a courtesy call on the Scretary General to the Governor of Hokkaido Mr. Hirano in Governor's meeting room.

His predecessor got married with a Japanese female and is now living in Sapporo. He runs a trade company that imports Lithuanian goods and technologies to Hokkaido.

Sapporo Lilac Festival ２０１９!

Sapporo Lilac Festival started under the beautiful blue sky. One of the big draws of the festival is Ramen noodle soup joints in Odori Park. Before many citizens and tourists swamped the Ramen area, it was calm in the morning.

Beautiful High School Students from Beijing !

So beautiful high school students in Beijing arrived in Sapporo to show their fabulous dance and flute play in Tsukisamu High School. They did not have enough time in Sapporo, so they changed their attire in the bus on their way fro New Chitose International Airport to Hokkaido Prefectural Government Office Building. The cultural and sport exchanges of the youths are so nice to establish better relationships and futures of the regions.
I really appreciate their courtesy call paid myself in this beautiful season. 

My staff and my friends !

I really appreciate the consideration and cooperation provided by my friends and staff. It was a pity that some of them have to leave Sapporo where I am living and working.

But they got promoted and stepped forward to climb the corporate ladders. I hope all of them will be treated kindly and get a variety of skills to win the games in this world.

Swedish Center Foundation 2 !

The beauty of Sweden, Minister Counselor of Sedish Embassy in Tokyo delivered a keynote speech in the Swedish Seminar. It seemed that the economy of the country was pretty good.

Before World War , many people in Sweden went abroad seeking for jobs but after exerting efforts to change the system of the society including the central government, many people came into the country and the influx was still increasing, she said.

I think you have heard about "Quota System" in Sweden. To take off the glass ceiling on the females corporate ladder, the central government impose the system to prompt the females to play the important role in the society, particularly in companies.

Swedish Center Foundation 1 !

The annual General Meeting of Swedish Center Foundation was held in Sapporo at the beginning of June, 2019. The Chair of the foundation Mr. Muramatsu stepped down and new Chair was elected.

Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Sweden in Japan Ms. Victoria Forschlund=Veras brought the comfy wind of Sweden to the meeting and the seminar, paying the respect to the active and solid entity for deepening and widening the the relationship between Hokkaido and Sweden.
