Hokkaido Love ticket by JR Hokkaido!

Have you ever seen "HOKKAIDO LOVE!" six-day-pass issued by Japan Railway Company Hokkaido? It's valid for six days to take the trains including the limited express train in Hokkaido. As a railway mania, my wife bought the tickets for us and took me to the amazing railway trip. 

After taking the limited express train at Sapporo Station, the first station to get off the train was "Oshamanbe" . The roadside eatery "" Kanaya" was "the must" to drop by and savor crab rice bowl. It runs a drive-in outskirts of the town but they started the flagship restaurant near the railway station.

I heard that Mr. Nakanishi, the CEO of DOKYU that runs this Tonkatsu restaurant chain "Tamafuji", bought tons of pineapples and mangoes genetically modified in the USA. 

He used these fruits in the restaurant for the employee of his company. He was so appreciated by the agricultural department of Hawaii. That might have become the booster to open the restaurant.

Governor IGE also appreciated his cooperation to promote the fruits produced in Hawaii. Without the help provided by the State of Hawaii, it must have had taken longer time to open the restaurnt.

 

Thick Pork Meat for Tonkatsu !

These thick sliced pork seemed to have been hit to avoid shrinking before being fried. It American pork , not Japanese but cooked in Japanese way.

Needless to say, I was also invited to the ceremony as a representative of Hokkaido. The people in Hawaii have to make line to savor the delicious fried cuisine of the restaurant now.  

But I can reserve a table for my friends and myself in this restaurant, thanks to Mr. Nakanishi. This talk will not go out of this blog.

"Island Breeze from Hawaii" joined !

The protagonist of the event appeared ! The thick fried pork steak Japanese Tonkatsu was served to all the guests. All the guests opened their eyes and gazed at the yam brown color.

Her Excellency Hokkaido Smile Ambassador to Hawaii Ms. Reiko T. Rogers and her colleague in the radio broadcasting program "Island Breeze from Hawaii" Ms. Hiroko Iijima were also invited to the ceremony.

answered to the questions from Reiko-san after the opening ceremony. Reiko-san and Hirokosan seemed to be struck by the taste and volume of the Tonkatsu dishes. 

 

Governor delivered congratulatory speech !

The CEO of DOKYU LTD. that runs the TONKATSU restaurant "Tamafuji" seemed to be so satisfied with the speeches delivered by the Governor of the State of Hawaii and other top brasses in Hawaii.

Mr. Nakanishi showed his teardrops in the ceremony. He looked so happy with the smooth progress of the ceremony and the presence of the guests invited to the event.

The famous banker in Honolulu attended to the ceremony and delivered so nice speech. His wife had a career as an idle in Japan. Have you ever seen her before?

 

The Pre-open Dinner started !

The menu of the Tonkatsu restaurant "Tamafuji" is written in Japanese and English. The photos of the dishes were striking to the stomach of the customers.

The CEO of the company that runs the Tonkatsurestaurant chain "Tamafuji" Mr. Nakanishi said that this thick-type fried pork steak can not be seen outside f Japan. Thin pork cutlet is normal in USA and other part on this globe.

The Governor of the State of Hawaii Mr. David IGE delivered the congratulatory words in the midst of the opening ceremony. Mr. Nakanishi seemed to remember his effort exerted to open the branch restaurant in Hawaii.
