Over the mist !

After drinking so much, I felt as if I was in the world of illusion created by the deities ruling Akan area. I am sure you would also feel like that in such circumstances.

The lights of livings, no, the lights of tourism in the lower season blinked over the mist from the hot spring spa.

Sorry for the cluttered room we stayed but the small space made us feel the strength of our family. After talking enough about the past and the future of our family, we slept well.
 I warmed up my body and left our room to jog around the garden of the deities.

What was the starter !

The hot spring  bath inside the building was getting filled with the mist evaporating form the bath. The illumination colored blue was adoring the foyer of the hotel New Akan.

Marimo, the other name is
 Cladophora ball, Lake ball, Moss Ball were raised in the glass pool in front of the restaurant but I was not sure if the moss ball was growing up even in the pool.

You can drink as much alcohol and soft drink as you can for 60 minutes for 1,350 Japanese yen and for 90 minutes for 1,650 yen.
I don't think that I can call this place as a rotunda but the space as a court yard gives us kind of plush impression, I think.  

In the mood !

Surrounded by the mountains with mild skylines, soaking body in the hot spring spa on the top was so nice and refreshing. To recharge your batteries, please try the hotel but if possible, please keep calm and listen to the song of birds.

 Mt. Akan-fuji was hidden by the mist evaporating from the pool. Some buildings around the lake were closed but it seemed that the hot spring area Akan was regaining the prosperity that had enjoyed many years ago.  

Popularity of the destination for tourism and curing fluctuates like a pendulum. We may have to contemplate the next step to strike a balance between the tourism and preservation of the great nature where the deities are romping around.

Please make a point of bring your swimming gear when you visit New Akan Hotel. Otherwise, you have to use the rental gear to enjoy this hot spring pool on the roof.

I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed praying for keeping my hair but as time goes by, I may loose my hair on top.

Once I lost my hair on top, my head would seem so slippery like the frozen floor around this pool. Some parts of the floor were frozen and so slippery. Please be careful when you step ahead on the floor.

Renewal Open ! New Akan Hotel !

This is the main hot spring bath for males in New Akan Hotel. Luckily, no other visitors were in the span at that time.

 So nice scenery welcomes the visitors soaking their bodies in the hot spring spa. Before getting dark, the timing of bathing might be the best in a day.

Heavy and loud chatting is not required in the calmness and the sacred circumstances of the lake.Just watch the scenery and heal your body in the spa.

Mysterious blue of Lake Akan!

Can I call this time of the scenery "Magic Hour" after the sunset ?
It was so nice to see the scenery from the hot spring spa on the top of the hotel.

The countenances of the scenery varied as time went by. Ski courses could be seen on the hillside of the mountain near the lake.

The sunset cruise started in the scenery of magic hour. No fireworks on the lake like on Lake Toya. It was very calm on the lake.

Infinity pool of New Akan Hotel !

Coming back from jogging around Lake Akan, we dived into the hot spring pool designed like a infinity pool on the top of the building.

Not steep sky lines could be seen from the pool on the top of the hotel. The blue sky started to be covered with white clouds as if the steam evaporating from the hot spring spa was making the clouds in the sky. 

The peaks of the mountains around the lake also started to be capped by the white clouds. The setting sun reflected on the hillside of the mountains and the show was closing in the darkness.
