Mt. Tarumae 2!

This is the scenery from the hillside of  of Mt. Tarumae. Lake Shikotsu could be seen clearly as well as other peaks in the center part of Hokkaido.

 Mt. Fuppushi also could be seen but the peak seemed to be so steep.

Comparatively mild slope of Mt. Tarumae gave us the hope to conquer two peaks on that day !

It was a little bit too hot for trekking even on the highland on that day.Mt. Tarumae is so easy to reach the peak from where the lava dome at the center of the crater can be seen.

 It took an hour to conquer the peak on the east side of the crater and these kinds of flowers sent us hurrah beside the trail.  

So nice aroma of the flowers energized us so much !

 We had to get down on the other hillside and climb the adjacent Mt. Fuppushi over ther.

Comparatively mild slope of the crater was not covered with plants but around the entrance of the trail was in the bush. We did not expect so hard trekking at that moment.

So tired !

It was so beautiful day !
We drove to Lake Shikotsuand the mountains shown above !
Can you see the peak like a table ?
that is the lava dome in the crater of Mt. Tarumae.

 We had to wait for an hour to enter the parking site at the entrance of the trail. Seeing the long line of cars waiting for their turn to enter this area, my wife was weeping and expecting two hour before parking our car.

Fortunately, we could start trekking at 10:20 in the morning. I did not expect to stroll for six and half hours under the strong sunshine;)  

Kakizaki Seafood Restaurant in Yoichi Town !

After strolling around the Cape Kamui, we dropped by Kakizaki Seafood Restaurant in Yoichi. What we savored was salmon roe rice-ball, grilled Okhotsk atka mackerel. Squid Sashimi was so delicious with its slight sweetness and the taste of the ocean.   

Yum and beautiful ! can I say ? Good job ! The Japanese conch called "Tsubu" is one of my favorites. To be honest I prefer the Sashimi of Tsubu  to that of abalone called Awabi in Japanese. Many tourists make a long line to savor the quality seafood in this restaurant but you may be able to be seated sooner than you expected.

Cape Kamui this year 6 !

Above is the north side of Cape Kamui. Carved rocks made up attractive scenery over the horn of the cape.
The southern side of the cape is on the left.

 I hope I will be able to swim around the coast and savor the landscape under the water in the future.

From this horn of Cape Kamui to Cape Shakotan over the blue ocean in this photo, so many fish can be seen under the water.

 Wouldn't you like to walk on the lawn and dive into the blue ocean ? Before the peak season of tourism, it may be more interesting to visit there in June.

I've not heard that many ships were wrecked around the cape  but this lighthouse has given the lights of hope and  shown the way to go.

 Nowadays, this kind of radar antenna can be seen on each head of the cape horn. Needless to say, they are for the defense of our territory.  

This beautiful blue ocean must not be filled with garbage as other Asian countries. Please do keep the ocean and the beaches clean for the next generation on this globe.

Cape Kamui this year 4 !

I heard that it cost over one hundred thousand dollars to own a car in Singapore. Even considering the high income in Singapore, it is too expensive.

Please do not spend such a small fortune in Singapore and enjoy driving a variety of cars during your stay in Hokkaido.

Without cars, it is so difficult to enjoy the real genuine tourism in Hokkaido that you should save money to visit our island and seek the real joy of your life.

 This layer exposed to the ocean and the northwest wind can be seen effectively by use of cars rented. Which do you like better to spent a hectic amount of money to own a car in Singapore where the driving is so stressful or to savor the fantabulous scenery, food and hot spring spa in Hokkaido ?
