The Singapore Company Complated the design !

Our favorite Hotel Setsu Niseko seemed to be collecting the investors, considering the fascinating display on the wall of the hotel. Each room has so nice IH cooking system and laundry machine. 

I heard that the hotelier stuck to the design of the exteriors and interiors of the hotel. 

The in-house ramen noodle restaurant "Afuri" headquartered in Tokyo? will draw so many tourists and skiers soon in winter. There were a few tourists in the restaurant at lunch time on that day.

The Sushi Bar "Katou Inori" in the hotel seemed to involved the traditional patterns on the indigenous people in Hokkaido. It put the title of "Crab Sushi" on the name of the restaurant but I've not tried crab meat in the restaurant so far. It must be so expensive.

Invest in Niseko !

Before leaving our favorite Hotel Setsu Niseko, 

we had  course lunch in the Sushi Bar Katou in the Hotel as I mentioned in the previous post. It was wrapped up with minced fatty belly of tuna and salmon roe.

Even now, Hotel Setsu Niseko is collecting investers. I am not sure what kind of investment is preferable for the hotelier but normally, the ownership or timeshare of the rooms in the hotel may be typical, I think.

The former chef of the sushi bar called "JJ" had retired and would soon go to Philippines to run a sushi bar owned by the local entrepreneur, I heard. Now the chef of the sushi bar was handled by a young chef and to cheer him up, such campaign was advertised on the wall of the hotel.    

 

Course Lunch in Sushi Bar Katou !

As I mentioned in the previous post, the starter of the lunch course in Sushi Bar "Katou" of Hotel Setsu Niseko was "Chawan-mushi", the Japanese broth-based pudding .  

The salad composed of mini-tomato, boiled pork and seaweed "wakame" followed. A piece of sushi topped with a slice of fatty tuna soaked in tasteful soy-based source and chopped veggies could not stand still.    

A piece of fatty belly of tuna brought us such beautiful and energizing art work.

Too fatty tuna may make us uncomfortable with our stomach after binge drinking but once you tried the sushi in this bar, you will not be able to savor the ones in other bars on the island.

This is the ceiling of the rotunda with the fireplace in Hotel Setsu Niseko. The beams of the structure looked so robust and made of wood but it might be wood-taste print on the surface. 

I heard that the owner company of the hotel stuck to the design to strike a superior balance between Japanese taste and occidental. 

Before leaving the hotel, we had lunch course in the in-house sushi bar "Katou" . 

Japanese broth-based pudding "Chawan-mushi" featuring crab meat is strongly recommended in the course menu. Please savor amply the aroma you experience when you open the lid.  It is the prelude of the well-organized culinary harmony. 

 

Before the departure !

The courtyard of our most favorite Hotel Setsu Niseko was lit up in the night but nobody was walking there on that day. The color of the leaves of the trees seemed to be changing to the autumnal ones.

 

Next Nmorning, it was so fine and we could enjoy the clear view of Mt. Yotei and the surroundings. After checking out, we had to wait a little bit to have lunch in Crab Meat Sushi Bar Katou ofthe Hotel.

Check-out time was 11:00 but our reservation time was 12:00. We were relaxing on the sofa facing the fireplace at the rotundau. We've never spent an hour there before but it was so comfortable to sit back and stretch our legs there.

 

Afuri the Ramen Noodle Soup Bar in Setsu Niseko !

This is the chef's signature Ramen Noodle Soup flavordd with Yuzu citrus an Japanese pepper. It cost approximately twenty US Dollars but may cheeper than the prices in North America and Europe.

I heard that the flagship Restaurant of Afuri was located in Tokyo but I am not sure the prices of the dishes in the headquarters. The difference of the economy in the countries where the guests come from might have pushed up the prices in Japan too. 

We chose pan-fried dumplings and grilled pork as well. Many guests from overseas may buy the foods in the supermarket in Kutchan or the convenience store LAWSON in front of the hotel because each room has so nice and functional Kitchen and dishwasher.

 

Arriving in Hotel Setsu Niseko !

Just before the sunset, some white and gray clouds started to change the countenance mf the landscape of Mt. Yotei and surroundings.It was like a dancing in the blue sky.

We arrived at our favorite Hotel Setsu Niseko again and the cozy fireplace hall welcomed us so comfortably as usual. The fireplace didn't keep the flame on that day.

I've never seen many people were chatting around the fireplace but in winter, the cozy place may be filled up with many foreign people who love and have got used to the flame.6

 

Back to Mt. Yotei !

On our way back to Kutchan/Niseko Area, we could get the fine view of Mt. Yotei and the agricultural fields at the foot of the mountain. A few hours were left before the sunset but the shades on the hillside of Mt. Yotei did a good job to create a great landscape.

A Chinese developer commited a violation of the law that regulated the development not in order by cutting down the trees at the

foot of Mt. Yotei without getting a permission of the central Government of Japan and local authority.

I hate to lose the beautiful scenery and landscape mf Hokkaido Island but it may have been conquered by the greedy private companies and nation already. 3

 

Long long Freight Train !

The long freight train was continued to pass by under the bridge that I stood on. It took a few minutes to pass by Kitafunaoka Station.

Compared to that in North America, it may be short but in Japan, it's long enough to irritate the drivers of the automobiles waiting for the timing to get across the railway.

After enjoying the scenery 2and landscape in Kitafunaoka, we headed to Kutchan/ Niseko Area to stretch our legs and bodies..Particularly, my wife needed a big blast to refresh herself.

 

Freight Train went through !

I walked across the bridge over the railway and waited for train coming. Soon the announcement of the passing-by of the freight train came automatically from the speaker on the platform.

A long freight train was coming from the direction of Muroran, the City of Iron. The railway may be vulnerable to Ohtsunami but so far, I've never heard of such natural disaster that damaged the railway and transportation system. 

The freight train would go to Tokyo through Hakodate, Aomori, Morioka, Sendai and Saitama., Its long journey had begun several hours before and continue for a day or more.
