Goreme National Park and Rock Site of Cappadocia also struck me as the art of stone when I visited the country with my wife in 2000. The stone pillars like chimneys were used as the residents of the people.
There are also the underground cities digged and developed by Greek Christians in the Old Roman Era. Hundreds of thousands people were living there.
The underground city had winery, wine cellar, houses of livestock,town hall and other necessary facilities and spaces for the normal lives of the people.
