As you may know, G7 Ministerial Meetings on Environment, Energy and Economy were held in Sapporo Prince Hotel on April 15(Sat.) and 16(Sun.), 2023. Against the backdrop of this meeting, Hokkaido Perfectural Government and Sapporo City had a special event in Sapporo Dome to promote eco-friendly society.
Environmental Square Hokkaido was the name of the event. Making the most of the opportunity to host the G7 Ministerial Meeting, "The Hokkaido/Sapporo Declaration was issued to commit to become the Green Powerhouse of the World including Japan.
A very thick and powerful electric line will connect the main island "Honshu" and Hokkaido in the near future and many off-shore wind-power mill will be built in the near future and the advance research and assessment will be conducted soon in cooperation with the central government of Japan and the other countries of G7.
