The polished rice that we don't have to wash and polish before steaming reduces the consumption of tap water and saves the time for cooking. The operation room control all the process and sampling of the rice.  
The polished rice will be stocked in these tank before packing. Needless to say keeping the temperature is very important.High temperature spoil the quality of the rice. 
A variety of rice crops were developed for the rice farming on this northern island Hokkaido. The hard work and the sincere efforts exerted in rice farming is crucial anyway.

Before we steam the rice, we have to polish and wash the rice but we do not have to do that when we steam "Musenmai" which means "no-washing rice" in direct translation. 
Some samples are sent to this room automatically and the staff check up the quality to guarantee the level of the rice. If any problem, they stop the factory without hesitation. That is their way of trust.  
All the rice crops are stocked in these tanks before polishing. All the process to send these quality rice all over  Hokkaido and other islands of Japan is based on the trust and belief. Other countries of greed can not do that, I think.

Hokuren Pearl Rice Factory introduces the work at a farmhouse, rice cuisine, the nutritious power of the rice, the roots of rice farming and so forth. The gene of Japanese people has built-in- system to take in the nutrition of the rice crop effectively and efficiently. 
When we have to recover from sickness, we have to arrange the calorie and nutritious in-take based on the rice, not based on the occidental way.  
Before store the rice crop, the embryo bud should be taken off to preserve the crops  but the embryo buds are used to make Japanese pickles of veggies. Without being polluted by the greedy people, they are the real Godsend for us.

Hokuren Pearl Rice Factory in Ishikari !

I think I escorted a delegation from overseas to this "Hokuren Pearl Rice Factory" where the top quality rice crops of a variety are polished and delivered from there.
I had to show this factory to another delegation from Vietnam in  cooperation with the staff of the facility. facility  
The major Hokkaido brand of rice crops are "Nanatsuboshi" which means "Seven Stars” in Japanese, "Yume Pirika" which means "Beautiful Dream", "Koshihikari" a nation-wide famous species, "Kitakurin" and "Fukkurinko". The display shows the family tree of those rice crops and the way to savor them amply.  
It is said that rice crop farming was brought from the Asian Continent but is it real ? The art of raising delicious rice crystallized in Japan. The culture and the technology of rice farming should be kept in Japan.

Education New Zealand visited Hokkaido !

The friends of Hokkaido citizens, the representatives of Education New Zealand visited Hokkaido to promote the international exchange between Hokkaido and New Zealand.
We would like them visit Hokkaido again and again in business and for pleasure. 
So kindly they wore the present from Hokkaido side Hokkaido Love ! T-shirts. We really appreciate their consideration and cooperation. Good command in English should be required to protect our home country.

Buckwheat Noodle Auberge "Naritaya" in Niki Town !

Mt Yotei put a white cap on that day. The changing countenances of the landscape including the mountain is also fascinating. Hirafu District at the foot of Mt. Annupri is popular even for the foreign capitals because of this great scenery.
With able hotel staff who have good command in English and Japanese, Hotel Setsu Niseko seemed to focus on the tourists from overseas as well as the affluent guests from other islands in Japan. Automatic cleaning robot was strolling around the lobby space on the ground floor.  
On our way back to Sapporo, we dropped by Niki Town to have lunch in the buckwheat noodle auberge "Naritaya" surrounded by a vineyard and veggie field. We may stay there savoring a variety of wine in the evening in the not-so-distant future.

The Outlook of Hotel Setsu Niseko in the evening !

The dessert was shine muscat with jule. What do you think about dinner course of the French & Italian Dining "Meli Melo Yuki No Koe" in Hotel Setsu Niseko ?
The level of the cuisine in Niseko Area got much higher than before, I think. 
We strolled around the hotel after the dinner and took the photos of the outlook. Some windows of Hotel Setsu Niseko were lit up and showed a countenances of illusion. It was like a dream but a reality.
The ramen noodle soup restaurant Afuri headquartered in Tokyo is available for the visitors staying in other hotels and day trippers. Soon the tourists from overseas will swamp to the area as the hoteliers expected.

Dinner in Hotel Setsu Niseko 2 !

The earthenware of the restaurant French & Italian Dining "Yuki No Koe" in Hotel Setsu Niseko also made us so satisfied and filled up. Mini tomato on the grilled cheese made a wonderful contrast with the delicate blue gradation.   
Grilled pork, potato and Japanese Shishito pepper on the special fermented soy beans paste Miso made up a special twist to the ingredients. They were so tasteful and delicious.
The earthenware played up the cuisine so nicely as the stage of the culinary arts of the chef. 
A white pottery with a lid came up after that.
I love the sense of the chef of the restaurant.

Course Dinner in Hotel Setsu Niseko !

The simple menu of the French & Italian Dining "Yuki No Koe"  in Hotel Setsu Niseko made our expectation much higher than before. We had a course dinner on that day. As it was our first stay in the hotel, we had to evaluate the taste of the chef's signature dishes.
The starter of the dinner was so pretty but so tasteful prochute on the pie cookie and bruschetta of grilled shrimp, I think. We raised glasses of fermented ginger ale. The taste was like alcohol drink. 
We were so flabbergasted by the sense and the consideration of the chef.
Corn soup followed the starter. It was wrapped up with the real coating of corn. 
Thanks to the heartwarming delicious dishes of the restaurant, we spent solid and happy hours there.

Dinner in Hotel Setsu Niseko !

The French Italian dining "Meli Melo Yuki No Koe" is the main dining from where Mt. Yotei can be seen so clearly. With a beautiful and magnificent landscape, the guests can savor the culinary delights sourced locally. 
It seemed that ramen noodle soup restaurant Afuri was easier to enter because ramen noodle soup is originally the food for folk. But the price of the folk's food is comparatively more expensive than expected.  
The menu of the French & Italian Dining "Meli Melo Yuki No Koe" in Hotel Setsu Niseko is so simple but it is based on the confidence of the chef of the restaurant, I think. Top quality wines and other beverage are available to play up the cuisine. 
Before white winter high season, we really enjoyed the delicious dishes there.
