Lake Shikotsu 2020 !

The state of emergency was extended to the end of May, 2020 because of rampant of Wuhan virus from China. So the popular destinations in Hokkaido are still calm even in the midst of May.

I visited Lake Shikotsu with my wife for stress relief. Cocooning in the house under the state of emergency seems to have brought enormous stress to the citizens of Hokkaido.

Some people were there but in comparison with usual May, very few tourists were enjoying the scenery surrounded by mountains. The economic damage to Hokkaido was huge.
