Longing for their or their parents' hometown where the immigrants had grown up in Hokkaido, the custom of Japanese traditional lion dance performance had been kept in the community, praying for the good health and happiness of all the members of the community.
The local traditional dance of females topped with bottles were performed on the stage as well. I posted the same kind of dance performed in the 80 the Anniversary event of Paraguay Hokkaido Society in Asuncion before.
The bottles on the females heads were connected by the joints but even so, it requires the dancers a high degrees of skill to keep the bottles on their heads.
