We dropped by Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Hakodate 函館ハリストス正教会 on our way back from Motomachi Park in Hakodate City to Hotel La Vista Hakodate Bay. The church was also lit up and showed its beautiful design and the contrast of white and green in the darkness.
Hakodate Nishi High School is near this church. The students can see this church almost every day even if they were struggling to graduate with high collors.
I do not think the mass has not been held in this church for a while but please check up the details of the church at https://www.orthodox-hakodate.jp/
