The Governor of the State of Hawaii brought a memorial medal and popular Hawaiian products
for the courtesy call. The former Speaker of the Hokkaido Legislative Assembly Mr. Ren Endo met Governor IGE for the first time since he visited Honolulu to take part in the memorial event to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the immigrants from Japan to Hawaii.
The Vice Speaker of the Hokkaido Legislative Assembly Mr. Ichihashi handed a wood carving of the red-crowned white crains to Governor IGE as a memento.
